We've been busy!
After a busy summer of back to back guest bookings.
We have made time to update 22, with new wallcoverings in the lounge to compliment our existing vintage furniture.
The new Penguin wallpaper sets off our Chesterfield armchair beautifully, and who doesn't love some neon wall signage!

New find - Trojan Horse
Ellesmere Antiques Emporium
If you are visiting Ellesmere, it is definitely worth checking out the the new Ellesmere Antiques Emporium, in the Old Library.
This shop is crammed full of cool stuff, we couldn't help purchasing this Trojan Horse. It is weighty and with a fantastic vintage patina - it looks great on our window sill, I think you'd agree.

We've had a fabulous week in Ellesmere at number 22 Victoria Street and Martin has been a fabulously communicative host
when we required him to be.
We've had a great stay in a beautifully designed and well equipped home from home. Across the road into town you can go for drinks or meals. Supermarkets walkable too. Lovely welcome goodies supporting local people to boot.
Love the little touches like robes and lovely smelling diffusers and toiletries. Great location and walks out from the door to The Mere and the canal.
We ventured further afield too to Llangollen and walked the Panorama Walk and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Chirk Tunnel.
Fabulous week and we wish Martin and his family all the best with the new venture.

We had the most amazing few days here. The cottage was beautiful, had everything we could need - including being able to make a brew as soon as we arrived with yummy biscuits and local gin too! It was very easy to find and parking was very close and easy to navigate. It has everything and more for a comfy stay. Spotlessly clean and well equipped with the little things too like a charging cable in the drawer. Only a few minutes walk to the local supermarket and lots of cafes/restaurants and pubs to choose from. We found an amazing park by the Mere and enjoyed a wander through the sculpture trail which is an absolute must. We will absolutely be booking to come back again.

This is a beautifully refurbished very comfortable cottage right in the centre of Ellesmere within walking distance of shops and the Mere. It was like staying in hotel standard accommodation - fluffy bath towels and bath robes, chocolates, cookies and Shropshire Gin.
There was also a lovely vase of tulips. to greet us on arrival. We didn’t use the kitchen other than to have breakfast but it looked fully stocked with utensils. The beds were also comfortable. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay!

We had the best stay at Martin’s cottage. The cottage has everything one would need (and more!), it is tastefully decorated and very cosy. We all felt right at home. Martin is very thoughtful and we appreciated all the extra special touches. Our twins especially liked the homemade cookies on arrival. Ellesmere is beautiful and the cottage is perfectly situated to explore the town, have a meal out, or go for a walk/run along the canal or the lake. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend a stay at 22 Victoria!
